Terms of Sale.
These terms apply to buying a watch or a piece of jewelry from us. Terms for selling something to us are further down this page.
Payment
Which payment methods we accept depends on the price of the piece.
Under $1,000
Card or wire
Pay by card at checkout, or by bank wire, Zelle or cash on local collection.
$1,000 – $5,000
Card or wire
Card is accepted at checkout. The card price carries the 3% processing cost at cost; paying by wire, Zelle or cash avoids it.
Over $5,000
Wire transfer only
Cards are not accepted at this level. Payment is by bank wire, and the piece ships once the wire has cleared. Cash or Zelle can be arranged for local collection.
Items over $5,000 are wire transfer only. We do not accept cards at that level. A card payment on a five-figure item can be reversed months after the piece has shipped, and carrying that risk would mean pricing it into every listing. Use the enquiry form on the listing and we will send wire instructions the same day.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, handle or store your card number. Nothing ships until payment has cleared — for a wire, that means funds settled in our account, not a confirmation number.
Not as described? Free return
Sales are final, with one exception. If a piece arrives and it is not as described, tell us within 3 days of delivery and we pay the return shipping and refund you in full — that is our error, not yours, and you should not be out of pocket for it.
Contact us before sending anything back so we can authorise the return and send you an insured label. The piece must arrive back in the condition it shipped, complete with everything it came with; we inspect on arrival before the refund is issued.
Outside that, we do not accept returns for a change of mind, for fit, or because a piece reads differently in person than on screen, and we do not offer exchanges — every piece is a one of one, so there is nothing to swap it for.
This is why we would rather over-communicate before a sale than process a return after one. Ask for more photographs, the serial number, hallmark close-ups, or a video of the piece — we will send them the same day, before you commit.
Authentication guarantee
Every item we sell is verified before it ships. Gold is acid- and electronically tested for karat and weighed on a calibrated scale; watches have the caseback off, with calibre and serial checked against the reference. Stones are checked for treatment, and any treatment that affects value or care is disclosed on the listing.
If anything we sell is ever shown not to be genuine, we refund the full purchase price. There is no time limit on this guarantee and it is separate from the returns policy above. Take any piece to an authorised dealer, an independent watchmaker or a certified gemologist — we would rather you did.
Shipping
- Fully insured shipping via FedEx or UPS, insured for the full purchase price for the whole time it is in transit.
- Signature required on delivery. We do not authorise packages to be left.
- Ships within 1 business day of cleared payment.
- Shipping is included within the United States.
We do not ship watches internationally. Jewelry may be shipped internationally by prior arrangement, at the buyer's cost and risk, and subject to the destination country's import rules and duties. Ask before you buy if this applies to you.
Risk passes on delivery to the address given at checkout. Please make sure that address is right and that somebody can sign.
Local collection
Local pickup is available in Orange County, California, by appointment. It is the option we prefer for higher-value pieces: you get to look at the piece properly before any money moves, and payment can be settled by cash, wire or Zelle at the appointment. Ask through the enquiry form and we will arrange it.
Pricing
Every listing shows a wire price and, where cards are accepted, a card price. The card price is the wire price plus the 3% card processing cost, passed through at cost rather than built into the headline figure. Prices are current as of listing and may change; the price shown at the time you pay is the price that applies.
Availability
Every piece is one of one. Listings come down when they sell. Where a piece is still inbound to us and has not yet been through our own bench, the listing says so plainly in its condition report — we will not describe an inspection that has not happened.

Selling to us
The terms below apply when you submit a watch or jewelry to us for a purchase offer, rather than buying from us.
No guaranteed online amount
Any amount or range provided before physical inspection is preliminary. It may change if authenticity, condition, originality, accessories, ownership or submitted information differs.
Seller authority
By submitting or presenting a watch, you represent that you own it or are legally authorized to sell it and that the information provided is accurate.
Final purchase
No purchase is complete until the watch is inspected, authenticated, accepted, the final amount is agreed and payment requirements are satisfied.
