About this piece

A 14 karat white gold ball chain in a 4.00 mm bead, 16 inches long, at 12.60 grams.

A note on the name before anything else: "diamond-cut" describes a finishing technique, not a stone. Each bead is cut with fine facets on a lathe so the surface throws light back in small bright points rather than reflecting it as a single soft highlight. There are no diamonds on this chain, and we would rather say so plainly than let the description do the work.

Four millimetres is a substantial bead — this is a chain with presence, not a delicate one — and at 12.60 grams it is solid rather than hollow, which is unusual at this diameter and the main reason it holds its shape.

Sixteen inches sits high on the neck, at or just above the collarbone. Worn on its own it reads as a collar; it is short for carrying a pendant, and better suited to being layered over a longer chain.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have fourteen days from delivery. Have it inspected by any jeweller or certified gemologist you like. If you are not happy, send it back in the condition it shipped and we refund the purchase price in full — there is no restocking fee.
