14k Yellow Gold Flush-Set Ruby Spaced Band — Size 7

A 14 karat yellow gold band set with spaced round rubies, flush mounted into the surface of the ring.

Please read the treatment note below before buying. These rubies are heated and glass-filled, which is a common and legitimate treatment but one that materially affects both value and care. We would rather state that plainly here than have you discover it later.

Flush setting — also called gypsy setting — drops each stone into a seat cut in the metal so its table sits level with the surface of the band. There is nothing raised to catch and nothing to snag, which makes it the most durable way to set stones in a ring worn daily, and the reason flush-set bands survive decades of wear.

The spacing between stones lets the yellow gold carry the design rather than crowding the rubies together, so the red reads as punctuation across the band.

TREATMENT DISCLOSURE: the rubies in this band are heated and glass-filled (lead-glass / fracture filled). This is a standard, widely used treatment, but it must be disclosed because it affects both value and care. A glass-filled ruby is worth substantially less than an untreated natural ruby of the same size and colour. It also requires specific handling: never clean it in an ultrasonic or steam cleaner, keep it away from acids and household solvents, and always tell a jeweller about the filling before any repair, sizing or work involving heat, which can damage or remove the filler. This piece has not yet been through our own bench: karat is confirmed by acid and electronic test, weight on a calibrated scale, and stones checked for treatment on arrival.
