North county turns up more genuinely old watches than the coast. If a case back has never been opened, leave it — we would rather see an untouched movement than a recently serviced one with replaced parts.

Worth knowing before you sell

Do not polish a vintage watch before selling it. Sharp original edges are worth more than a shiny case, and polishing cannot be undone.
